This page explains how refunds work for paid GambitCoach subscriptions (Gold and Premium). It complements the Terms of Service and does not limit your statutory rights as a consumer under EU and German law.
All paid GambitCoach subscriptions are sold, billed, and refunded by Paddle.com Market Limited acting as the Merchant of Record (MoR). Paddle is the seller on your invoice, collects applicable VAT/sales taxes, and processes refunds on our behalf. GambitCoach does not charge your card directly and cannot issue refunds outside Paddle's payment platform. For Paddle's own buyer terms, see paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms and their refund handling at paddle.com/legal/refund-policy.
If you are a consumer within the meaning of § 13 BGB resident in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a paid subscription contract within 14 days of concluding the contract, without giving any reason (§ 355 BGB; EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights).
Within this 14-day window you may cancel your subscription and request a full or pro-rata refund as described below. The withdrawal period begins on the day the subscription contract is concluded (typically the day of your first successful payment).
When you subscribe you may explicitly request that the paid features start immediately. If you then withdraw within the 14-day period:
After the 14-day withdrawal period has expired, you can still cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Cancellation stops future renewals; the current billing period remains active until its end, and no partial refund is issued for the unused portion of that period. This is the standard rule for continuously-delivered digital services under § 356 Abs. 5 BGB.
Outside the 14-day window we may still grant a discretionary refund in cases such as double charges, provable technical failure that made the Service unusable for an extended period, or accidental renewal within a short window. These are handled case by case.
You may also use the model withdrawal form in Annex I of the EU Consumer Rights Directive; it is not obligatory. A plain email stating that you wish to withdraw is sufficient.
For refund questions, contact support@gambitcoach.com. For general dispute-resolution information (including the EU ODR platform), see section 11 of the Terms of Service. Statutory consumer-protection rights under the law of your EU country of residence remain unaffected by this policy.
